I witnessed a miracle tonight

In a crystal house
two old souls collide
no longer having to hide
their love once forbidden
 
a dream finally fulfilled
transforms shattered glass
into glimmering starlight
allowing the sky
not to be shy at night
any longer
 
those of us
who witnessed this miracle tonight
 
have hope
that we too can
find a love
that transcends time
and can only become stronger.

I believe a poem can change your life forever. I know many poems I read as a child made a difference in my life. I learned to believe in me. My senses started living along side me. My appreciation for nature and life increased by one hundred percent. As a result I paint, love photography, and I listen and try to pay attention a little bit more to everything around me. I also became a teacher to honor all those teachers who set me straight about life and learning.
