WE WILL ALWAYS STAND TOGETHER!

A few things to think about
I read and heard the words of two prominent African American men. They provided food for thought.
Challenge Response by Melba Christie – I must speak up
My heart speaks up all the time
but the thoughts are only mine.
My soul speaks up frequently;
but my soul swears me to secrecy.
However today I must speak out loud
I must make at least, Mrs. Metelitz proud.
She always told us to take control of the shroud.
She told us to take a stand
and if we must,
even reprimand
what is wrong,
what is untrue,
oh yes, and whoever wants to misconstrue.
I must speak up
I cannot hold my tongue
It was ok when I was too young.
Today is the day;
when I must say,
what I feel,
Because I cannot believe
what we are all living is really real.
I must speak up before something even more horrible occurs
like more deaths because of ignorance and grave errors
or a war in the midst of this health crisis.
We must decree justice.
I am here to tell you
we must all unite.
and not allow partisan politics win the fight.
We need truth and honesty;
we cannot allow any more of this travesty.
Our democracy must prevail;
and propel our ship with the toughest of sails.
Our journey has been hard up until now;
but together we will make this virus kowtow
to our firm stance and belief
that God will help us get through our grief.
Our Nation of the people,
is our principal value;
one for all and all for one
United we will win the run.
God Bless America.

A Picture Says It All

Remember
No matter where you are on this great planet
No matter what language you speak
The symbol above is quite universal
Our hearts all beat the same
Take a minute and listen to your heart beating
It may sound a little louder, A little bolder
because our hearts are beating in unison
more than ever.
God bless you all.

Somehow a virus
makes us more aware we are
one and all for one

Today at noon London time
Big Ben bongs to announce
its retirement for a while
after all is said and done
the historic clock will be back in style.
Today at 2:44 PM New York time
where everyone
no matter where you are from
is in a New York State of mind
will gather to commune
with the sun and moon
witnessing a total eclipse of the sun
some may listen to the following songs
that reassure nothing will go wrong
tunes like:
“Let the Sunshine In” or
“Here Comes the Sun”
will probably take top billing
I get goosebumps
and a real good feeling
I hope for the future to be bright
hopefully we can all make it right.
this unique celestial event
brings us together
in an almost spiritual sense
no matter what the cost or expense.
It is all that people talk about
I cannot wait to hear the hoorays and shouts
when Moon covers the sun 70 percent
the totality of love
for our universe will be expressed.
“A total eclipse of the heart”
Glory be!
Will the excitement
ignite compassion,
greater tolerance
and love for each other?
Let us wait and see.
Don’t Forget to Protect your eyes!!! Happy Viewing!
Does it Matter What the Groundhog Sees?
Does it matter what the groundhog sees,
in times of such uncertainty?
Spring will be eventually.
Daffodils, and pink peonies bloom endlessly
and I for one hope eternally.
Nature promises to be true.
All we need to do is do
what matters the most
and happiness will be our host.
Complexities in life will not cease
But if we love well
meaning love each other
only time will tell
the human spirit will survive
and cultivate a new sping,
and harmony within,
clear and still alive.
God help us all to realize
that it does not matter
what the Groundhog sees.
Peace is up to you and me.
Our Connectivity
The blue sky connects us
trees connect us
raindrops connect us
the beautiful songs of birds,
the fluttering of a butterfly
and the buzzing of a bumble bee
connect us.
When we breathe in
and when our hearts beat
we are even more connected.
Let’s take advantage
of the connectivity
and pray for peace.
