A hard Journey

Our collective journey right now is a difficult one. Who do we believe? What are the hard truths we will have to face? Will we see more deaths because of the COVID-19 pandemic? Will our children safe in school? Will there be an effective and safe vaccine we can trust? Will our elections be tampered with by foreign enemies or even by our own home grown terrorists? Because chaos begets chaos and because hate begets hate and because uncertainty is a type of terrorism, we must unite to seek the truth. We cannot continue to allow anyone to divide us. We must unbury the American values we cherished so much. What happened to how we deplored big brother watching us, political coups, injustice, bigotry and leaders who lied to their people? Our country lived by values. We cherished our constitutional rights, our civil rights and liberties. What has happened to us? We were not perfect. But we knew about basic decency. We always knew what was the right thing to do for the good of us all. We the People must be the force of goodness, empathy, and compassion. We are all exhausted. We need positive energy to carry on our most valued right. The right to vote. These last few days I feel like I am in a labyrinth and here with the help of Pixabay I have tried to illustrate my poem.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

A Justice For All

I just heard the news that Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed. The “Notorious RBG” was a strong and courageous woman. She served all people. My heart breaks because she was a role model for so many women my age. She made America a better place. We were so lucky to have her. God bless her. My condolences to her family and the thousands of women that emulated her.

Remember “Women belong where decisions are being made.”

If you are listening

If you are listening

to the absurdities of our times

your heart must be be ready

to explode with the torment it brings.

I for one no longer

want to sing

or laugh out loud

because the guilt is too profound.

So many have passed;

so many suffering,

so much uncertainty.

We need to look seriously at

not only where we fell and failed,

but where we slipped and let go

of our collective conscience.

The oneness that we are

can allow us to go far.

We cannot disregard the deep scars

that have been created.

Future generations will not be kind

when they realize

we left so many behind;

and waived our rights,

because we were afraid to stand up

for the good of all the people.

Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno!

The storm of tears

will flood our towns

and will drown our dreams.

Is it too late for redemption?

Will our sins be commuted?

Will our grandchildren pardon us,

for neglecting to see the truth?

To Thine Own Self Be True.

If you are and have been listening,

please know that we must also

start questioning.

We cannot allow us to get used to the dark.

Together

we must pave the way

and make sure we shine

so that the truth

is once again revealed.

No excuses!

No excuses!

Tell Us When

reading by
Melba Christie

I ask respectfully

I don’t want to be rude

The expectation is not great anymore

There is no butterfly crossing

To give me comfort

I don’t want to rush you

But I know You must Know;

that what is happening,

Pains us so.

Isn’t time we know

I don’t want the so called experts to tell us

I don’t want to hear it from you know who

Could you please tell him to shush

Like I said I do not mean to rush

I believe only You.

I trust only You.

I want to know was is true.

I pray everyday this craziness ends.

Please tell us when.

Can you see yourself?

Can you see yourself in tomorrow’s mirror?

I want to see a million and one people

standing behind me

because they beieve

because they have faith

because they understand truth and justice.

What do these people look like?

They are all different;

Tall, short, White, Black, Asian,

Men, women, LGBTQ,

children, teens, middle aged, elderly,

empathetic, caring, loving, mindful,

all religions, faiths, and even agnostics.

Can you see yourself in tomorrow’s mirror?

Do not let it lie to you.

Do not let it fool you.

See that you do not stand alone;

see what we all want right now;

see that we stand together,

united, under God

guided by our great democratic values

by our  Indestructible constitution,

with liberty and JUSTICE

for ALL

#you can’t make this up

Reality checks every five minutes

TRUTH be told

we have become so bold that

we accept non real truths

I can’t make this up

even if I wanted to.

Watching carefully though

as tragedy surrounds us all

Realize it wants us to suffocate.

How much pain can we endure?

Singularly?

Collectively?

Can we afford the outcome?

#can’t make this up.

I don’t want to make stuff up.

I want to know the truth.

Please remember,

we are all one.

The universe is one only..

Our planet earth is only one.

We have only one life to live.

I have not made this up.

These are the universal truths we must face together.

Quote:

Rather than love, than money, than fame, Give me truth. – Thoreau

The moment of truth

The moment of truth has come.

Whose truth?

Does that moment count in real time?

Is a moment 60 seconds?

Who will care?

Who will dare hear it?

Who will decide?

Will you? Will I?

Truth?

Lies?

Disgrace?

Alternative facts?

Rules?

Will anything matter?

Will we ever be happy again?

Will we ever be united again?

Were we ever united?

Are we fooling ourselves?

Are we fools?

So many questions remain unanswered.

Truth?

Lies?

Yes. Someone said, tomorrow will be the moment of truth.

Will it?

How will we know?

God Bless America!

“To be or not to be”

“To be or not to be”

Certainly a question today for us all

To be honest?

To be followers of the truth?

To be kind to each other?

To choose unconditional love for our planet?

To be one for all and all for one?

To put some time into thinking mindfully?

To pay attention to each other more than the apps on our phones?

So many ways to be.

To be present.

To be calm.

To be willing not be part of the chaos.

Just to be the change.

“To be or not to be”

This question posed by a brilliant writer

So real today.

I am checking out my “to be or not to be today”

Are you?

What We Should Do

“Don’t seek, don’t search, don’t ask, don’t knock, don’t demand – relax.”

                               -Osho

What We Should Do

We should learn to be in the now.

Tomorrow is not assured.

Be honest about how you feel.

Be appalled at what is outrageously appalling, disgusting, and revolting.

If you are not willing to say, “Enough is enough!”

Then do not search for the truth.

We should learn to be still.

Calmly claiming peace.

Sensibly seeking stillness.

Watching wistfully at what is.

Because what is, is.

We should learn to question calmly.

Take a stand firmly,

Believe in the power of one.

We have to learn to relax.

No matter what happens.

No matter who says what.

Relax.

Relax.

“Happiness, not in another place

but this place . . .

not for another hour,

but this hour.”

This moment, now, belongs to all of us.

What Confusion?

What Confusion?

Who gets confused these days?

Everything is so true, so clear.

Why would you be confused my dear?

Is what I see real or not?

Why would I rather sleep on a cot?

Are words that hate really love?

Are facts alternative you think?

Today if it weren’t for poetry

Life would really stink?

She reaches up to wash the sky with pale blue

so it will be ready when you need it

Exploring the world within

Is only possible when you are true

the poet said to thyself be true

In the corners of my mind,

I watch the clouds move in

Hoping for the cleansing rain they might bring

We need truth to prevail

Clean and fresh to drench our souls

With aromas real and natural

Not the alternatives, no , no

We have to learn quiet again

All of us in unison

Still and determined

To reach up and paint a sun filled sky

And not forget to ask, “Why?”

Day Three – Three quotes Challenge

Tree of Inspiration

Above is a drew on my iPad when I was looking ofr some kind of inspiration. I found the Chines proverb and drew the tree which I call:Tree of Inspiration.

Here are the quotes to fulfill the three quote challenge.

“Joy is an internal process grounded in knowledge of spiritual truth, the ability to trust

the wisdom of the Divine, and faith in the perfect and perfecting process of life.”

– Lyanla Vanzant

“It is better in prayer to have a heart without words and words without a heart.”

-Mahatma Ghandi

“Allow your heart to sing and dance and kick off its shoes when you are lonely or fearful. A Divine feeling of freedom will keep you company instead.”

– Melba Christie

To the true seekers of light

 True seeker of the Light

no matter whether it’s night

or day

the path is clear

and here to stay

and in your foresight

to really see

and to Be

you and me

all of us within

the Creator

of all that is Good.

The path is paved

with stardust

and seeds of

new generations.

Take this Path

for it is Right

That leads to the only One

that is the Light,

the Truth.
