Pure Thoughts

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought; it is founded on our thoughts; it is made up of our thoughts. If we speak or act with a pure thought, happiness follows us, like a shadow that never leaves us.”

– Buddha

Pure thoughts

rare like sea lions

drift among us

at times, they try to become embedded in our hearts

because we need them to survive in the wildness

of our times.

Deafening but ignored somehow

are the chants for peace

Powers of persuasion

bluntly lie to tie

us up, unable to move or feel

the true grief

of what is missing:

LOVE!

The purest thought of all

Despite the potentially dangerous situation

of more divisiveness and stubborness

I remain inside my world of hope

As I think of hate as fire

and love as water

I search in hopes

of finding

the fountains from which

we will allow the waters to flow

to heal our swollen hearts

and to allow for pure thoughts.

Will We Be Ready?

the falls

Essential question:

Will we be ready?

Ready for what?

To be who we are supposed to be.

Response:

What do you mean?

I am who I am.

I am who I am supposed to be.

Rationale?

We are suppose to be

a seed,

to breed love

unconditionally.

We are suppose to be

a dance,

choreographed with perfect

movements, creating

expressions of

deep empathy, and

the essence of what

life is all about.

We are supposed to be

a soothing song of springtime.

We are supposed to be the composer

who delves deep into our hearts

to help us find our very own arias

and makes us listen closely to the beats

that mark our time on this earth.

Internal Question:

Wow! Will I be ready?

Answer:

You bet!

Resurrection

731

We live again

in faith

in love

All of us should know

we are but one

We are the bud

we are the seed

we are the triumph

when we learn to love.

Revive the spirit

you were told to hold dear

revive the spirit

forget the fear

Look to the sky,

behold the stars,

the full moon,

the amazing endlessness

of what you see and

cannot fathom.

Be still

and listen

as nature sings

For He is Here and

He’s still the king!

and I want

to sing

His Praise

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

And as I sing,  I hear this song

that one time made me feel so strong

Hallelujah!

I quote the stanza to be free

I hope it does for you

what it did for me

the Faith

the love we give

is up to us.

“I ‘ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah”

To my dear children

I will sing forever,

Hallelujah!

To all I love

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!
