A Deep Thought

I tried to unwrap a deep thought;

The kind that yells at you silently,

abruptly and honestly.

I wondered about all that is happening right now.

I explored all the what if questions.

They scared me at first.

Reality stepped up

and asked me a few questions

I could not dismiss.

Questions I knew I could not answer.

But, they opened my heart.

I know he is a human being,

not perfect by any measure. No one is perfect.

Then I wondered about this unique individual,

the self-proclaimed chosen one.

Does he sit alone somewhere and worry about life?

Does he cry in silence?

Who is it that really loves him?

Does he get scared?

When he is alone with only his conscience

does he forgive himself for the outrageous,

unbelievable, untruthful things he says.

My heart opened.

He is human.

I remembered scripture:

Hebrews 10:17

Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”

I must believe that our humanity will prevail.

I must believe that this too shall pass.

I must believe that we are indeed all one.

We are all human;

We are one.

May God bless America.

Compassion

We need more compassion!

Feeling for another

is not difficult;

if you know what it feels like

when someone has

co-sufffered with you.

We need more compassion!

Squeeze it out

from you heart and soul;

don’t worry,

you won’t run out.

More will be stored for you.

The process is innate;

fundamental,

essential,

in order to live life

fulfilled with purpose.

We all need more compassion!

Believe it or not,

having it and giving it

even has effects on the prefrontal cortex.

It’s scientific you see,

bringing about glee.

According to the dictionary

(open delight or pleasure; exultant joy; exultation)

is something we are ALL capable of.

We need more compassion!

Every faith knows it;

it is in our DNA ;

all we have to do is show it.

We need more compassion!

Become a stakeholder;

an investor, and or

a proprietor.

Compassion’s payoff:

multiple assets,

great dividends,

All add up to PEACE.

We all know we need that too.

what happened to good?

What happened to good?

I would like to know.

All  you hear lately is negativity

our economy: no good

our hope: not there

our respect: gone

that’s not good.

our patience:non-existent

That’s not good either.

our dignity: not present

not good at all!

our ability to care for one another

going, going gone

This cannot be good.

What happened to for the good of the order?

What happened to our humanity?

What happened to good?

Oh wait. I think I see it  crossing the street.
