Wonder
Points to Ponder
“It’s up to you
If you think you’re a winner you’ll win,
If you dare to step out you’ll succeed,
Believe in your heart, have a purpose to start,
Aim to help someone in their need,
Thoughts of faith must replace every doubt,
Words of courage and you cannot fail,
If you stumble and fall, rise and stand ten feet tall,
You determine the course that you sail.”

Tree Energy
Someone once told me that hugging trees energizes your spirit. I hug trees everyone so often when no one is looking. I photographed this spectacular tree and although I did not hug it, something about it put me a zen place. I edited the photo and this is the end product.

Fall raindrops kiss
the green leaves of summer
embarrassed, they turn red
The Flower Against the Wall
Melba Christie (c) 2014
I once saw this flower
resting and growing
on a wall
I could not believe
it would grow to be so tall
but its singular beauty
gave it strength
As everyone who
saw it
only has something
gracious to say.
Children grow strong
and confident
in the very same way.
Give them encouragement
and make them feel special
and they will thrive
and surprise you
when they realize their potential.
When Laughter is Heard
When laughter is heard,
hang on to its sound.
it resonates well-being.
Hearts heal with laughter.
The old feel young again;
burdens and worries disappear
and the mind is rid of thoughts
and free of dreaded fear.
Therefore, as breath is life
and we need to breathe every second of the day
make laughter just as indispensable
and find something nonsensical
to make you chuckle with a strong har-de-har
and when laughter is heard
you know it will take you far.
Below is my interpretation of laughter:

Save the Earth
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
I dedicate this to all women suffering from breast cancer. I pray everyday for a cure. I also dedicate this to my sister-in-law and my very good friend who are both winning the fight.
Field of Daisies
I wandered into
a field of Daisies
quite accidentally.
I wondered why
I was so lucky
to deserve
such ectasy.
I know now
how it feels
to be a bumblebee!
